Starring Peter Coyote and Kahlil Gould-Bayba.

A remote cattle ranch. The beginning of summer. A young man returns to the land that has been in his family for generations. Even though his uncle rejects him, he decides to stay, working hard to win the old man over. The silent tension between them grows as he stays one more day. And then another.

The film takes place on the cattle ranch where the cinematographer’s grandfather has raised cattle for 25 years in Humboldt County, CA. We are interested in exploring and creating new visual worlds, finding a language of image where landscape is its own kind of character. We believe in practicing ethical and empathetic filmmaking, where members of the local community play an active role in shaping the storytelling.

Produced by Rowan Gould-Bayba, Dot Foster, Alba Robledo Diaz and Sugarpunk Ltd.
